This pattern is for the Pleated Overalls Set to fit the 15” soft body dolls such as Bitty Baby, Alex Star, Gotz and Reborn. You can make shorts or pants. Gathering can be added in place of the pleats. There are not specific instructions for gathers instead of pleats so you would need to implement that on your own. There is an option to add a bib to the overalls. The shirt is long sleeve with gathered elastic at the hem. The shirt has a collar. It fastens at the back with snaps or hook and loop tape. The set includes a pixie bonnet with a drawstring at the neck.
For the pants overalls you will need a piece of fabric 26” x 13“. For the shirt you will need a piece of fabric 24” x 13“. For the bonnet you will need a piece of fabric 14” x 17“. You will need a 24” drawstring for the bonnet. You will need snaps or hook and loop tape to fasten the shirt at the back. You will need 10” of elastic either 1/4” wide or 1/8” wide for the shirt sleeve hems.

It is designed for woven fabric. You may use knits if you're comfortable sewing with knits and keeping stitched seams from stretching out. The pattern instructions are intended for a beginner who has a basic understanding of using a sewing machine, cutting out a pattern on the grain line, and following a sewing pattern.
